Sometimes the best visual effect is the one nobody notices.
Commercial VFX can mean a fully synthetic hero shot, a CG object integrated into live action, a screen replacement, cleanup, environment work or a small fix that saves an otherwise strong take. I work across that range, with the final image always more important than the technique used to get there.
My work in VFX for commercials combines a 3D background with compositing and finishing. That is especially useful for shots where lighting, reflections, perspective and movement need to be solved in 3D before the result is integrated back into the plate.
I can join after the shoot with supplied footage and tracking information, or become involved earlier when a shot benefits from VFX planning. For smaller productions I can carry a shot through multiple stages; for larger jobs I can take ownership of specific shots inside an established pipeline.

Start from the plate, not the plugin.
A convincing composite depends on the relationships inside the shot: lens, perspective, edge quality, motion blur, grain, reflections, shadows and the way the camera actually behaved. Those details are usually more important than a complicated effect. The workflow is built around matching the source and preserving what was good about the photography in the first place.

Can you work from already-shot footage?
Yes. Most VFX work begins with supplied plates. I can assess what is needed for tracking, CG integration, cleanup and compositing based on the material.
Can you help plan a VFX shot before filming?
Yes. When possible, early input can simplify tracking, lighting references and integration later, especially for CG-heavy commercial shots.
Do you also create the 3D elements?
Yes, depending on the shot. My 3D/VFX workflow allows me to create, light and render CG elements as well as composite them into the final image.
